Which comedians do you enjoy? I saw Ricky Gervais last year, his standup show Mortality is now number 1 on Netflix He makes me laugh so much Also saw Sue Perkins stand up show, she is really funny too who are some of your favourite comedians? have you watched Mortality or any of Ricky’s other shows on Netflix?

In the queue for new material nights for Ricky Gervais even though I have priority for Leicester Square theatre I have not moved in the queue been logged in since before 10am when tickets supposedly went on sale. my number is over 1000 but I’m not sure if that relates to how many people in the queue I watched the countdown and clicked as soon as it opened will just have to be patient

Did you get tickets to see Ricky Gervais in the end? Have seen some of his stand-up shows on telly and they were great. His drama-comedy TV series are a different kettle of fish (also good), but my personal favourite was ‘After Life’ on Netflix, which was more understated, whilst dealing with difficult subject matter (death of a partner/soulmate and subsequent isolation and suicidal feelings). Have you seen it? Not for everyone, but rewarding in its own way.

Yes I really enjoyed After Life

I did manage to get tickets to see Ricky Live doing his new material night in Leicester Square theatre

Was very funny as expected

Phew, I wasn’t the only one who liked After Life! Thought after I wrote it, that it might be a bit leftfield/niche for most people.

Glad you managed to get tickets to see Ricky Gervais Live - your patience paid off. I bet it was brilliant. Lucky you!

I think After Life broke a record for most watched sitcom on Netflix or something

So definitely not alone

Loads of people loved it

Never knew that (about After Live being so popular on Netflix)! Guess it was partly down to fans following Ricky Gervais’ projects, part word of mouth, BUT neither of those things would have meant much, if it wasn’t a unique and very watchable sitcom in its own right!
